For the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren; 1 Samuel 16..
People want to use this scripture and get by with doing whatever their flesh will desires to do..This is not what the scripture means. The carnal mind cannot have the understanding of the word of God. It takes the Holy Ghost inside us to reveal his word.
David's father no doubt, was thinking that God would pick one of his son's that was strong, skilled, able to fight and lead God's people. But God usually calls the unqualified and then qualifies them. For if this was not so, man would vaunt themselves against God, saying, mine own hand hath saved me.. But God does it in a way too where he will get... See More the glory, instead of man. Like Gideon with the three hundred men and David against Goliath. There was no way possible that these men, could conquer the enemy, they had no training in the natural army, they were absolutely not qualified and were put in an impossible situation. And God used them to win the battle, showing his self strong, in a way to where everyone would know that it was the hand of God.. Same as someone that is called to preach. Most people would pick a man that could speak well, and had the makings of a leader. God usually always picks someone that can't talk, can't lead, has no ability at all for the job. So he can train, mold and make them, so he can get the glory..also read 1 Cor.12;31 & 1 Cor. 13:10..I will continue to write this later..also a the scripture keeps bringing to me through the night as I lay and commune upon my bed with God.
"standing on the out side looking in and standing on the inside looking out..to be continued later..
