God never gets in a hurry to rescue us, he never delivered Daniel in the lions den, until he was completely in the den with the lions. Stop and think, why.
My two sisters Joyce and Mary, went to a revival in W. Virginia one year. They rented them a motel, and was so excited. They were having a great revival, but their hearts became very sad, about the middle of the revival. Why? Because they didn't have enough money to stay for the rest of the revival. And man what a revival they were having. So they had to check out of the motel, at 12 oclock. Joyce, keep feeling to wait, before they left the room. So they sat in the room & waited. They hadn't told nobody, about having to check out or not having enough money, to stay the whole revival. A man and woman that was attending the same revival , was staying in the same motel. About "15 till 12" some one knocked on their motel room. The brother that was also, attending the revival handed her a hundred dollar bill and said the Lord told me to give you this. Praise Jesus. So they stayed for the rest of the revival. Not to early not to late but, right on time. Note thought, if my sister hadn't of waited like she felt too, she would have missed God. Not listening to her flesh, which said she was nuts, but going by the spirit of God in her, that was gently bidding her to wait. Just a strong feeling to wait. Not a voice speaking out loud to her. Just a simply feeling in your spirit, to wait. The spirit knows all things. You just know. God's spirit sometimes don't tell you nothing, you just know. Like you know the color of red. See it's God's spirit in you and he knows all things. You learn the way God works through you, by experiences and failing a million times. But he teaches us. And we much learn to wait, flesh don't want to wait. Flesh don't want to suffer. The world is use to push buttons and it's hard for them to wait. He understands that too. But even if he understands, he still makes you wait.
Real faith is going to deaths door. God will try you, and take you to deaths door. To see if you are really trusting him. See faith isn't really faith until, it is to the end of a thing. If your meal barrel is full, it's easy to have faith. If you have credit cards and money, it's easy to trust. If all bills are paid it's easy to believe. But real faith is when all hope is gone.
When the meal barrels are empty. When theirs no credit cards or money for back up. When you are at the point of death and you still say, I am going to trust God or die. That is when God will come sweeping through.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. See something hope for and not seen is, beyond all human means. No way out, you see no way out. Like daniel, there was no way out, it was over.
And for some reason, God will not usually, move until, you are in a place where there is no way out. Remember Moses at the Red Sea. He just has too, let you see and know how great he is. And if he didn't do this you would give man the praise. But when all hope is gone and no human way possible, you then and only then will give God the praise. Thats why he takes small things to confound the wise, like David and his sling. If you try to get him to move for you, before his time, you will get discouraged and quiet. Because he will make you wait to try you. He is such a beautiful and loving God. He is just so much higher than us. He is so great there is none like him or can understand his ways. The more I know him, the more I love and adore him. Our little minds, cannot comprehend, just how much he loves us.
And how much he wants us to trust him. He will teach us, so don't fret, just lean on him and search for him and you will find him. He was there all the time, waiting patiently in line. Just for us to trust him. It's hard for the human to trust something it can't see. But he has his way, he will teach us. Like a mother teaching her child how to walk. So don't get down on your self, when you fall, just get back up and try again. Cause as your mother with out stretched arms, helping you to learn to walk. So is God, tenderly waiting to help us back up and try again, until we can learn to trust him and know that he will not fail us. We are all in the training course, so never get down. Just lift up your eyes. Jesus is up not down, don't look down, the devil is down there, LOOK UP! As you are determined to succeed in life and will not give up. We must also be that way toward God. Don't give up, keep trying. It's not how good we are, it's how determined we are. After my sister told me that, I put a note and hung it above my computer, so I wouldn't forget, which says!
